Congratulations to the newest CAL FIRE air tanker pilot, Jeff Reynolds!
鈥淧er tradition, Mr. Reynolds received a retardant shower after successfully passing his final certification ride,鈥� said Jeff Cavarra, CAL FIRE program director. 鈥淐ongratulations to Jeff and the eight instructors who worked diligently with him since March of 2019.鈥�
Reynolds is now certified as an Initial Attack Rated Air Tanker Captain and can, if needed, assess and drop on fires even if no other aerial supervision is available on the fire.
